El vídeo que descubre cómo Katy Perry grabó el videoclip de 'Electric' rodeada de Pokémon

'Electric' nos mostraba a Katy Perry rodeada de una historia Pokémon que ahora nos detalla. Para la canción miraba a celebración del 25 aniversario de Pokémon que en otoño lanzará un álbum con canciones como esa: 'Pokémon 25: The Album'.

¿Cómo se hizo 'Electric'?

Apasionada por esa saga de dibujos y videojuegos Katy contaba antes que en su infancia jugaba con su Game Boy y por eso no dudó en participar y crear la canción especialmente para la recopilación musical que se está preparando. Katy nos ha contado que "Cuando visité el café Pokémon durante mi gira por Japón me sentí muy nostálgica. Me llevó de vuelta a mis años de instituto. Así que cuando me abordaron para formar parte de la celebración del 25th aniversario junto a Post Malone y J Balvin estaba exultante”.

La artista norteamericana desvela ahora esos entre bastidores de una canción que habla de "la resiliencia, alimentar la propia luz interior, han guiado mi vida y establecen un paralelismo con los personajes de la narrativa de Pokémon. Pikachu es la forma desarrollada de Pichu, así que el video ves la versión joven de mi misma con Pichu, y mi persona del presente con Pikachu. Ambos evolucionamos, pero conservamos el sentido de la alegría".

El vídeo acaba con un besito a Pikachu, al que adora.

El vídeo oficial de 'Electric' está dirigido por Carlos Lopez Estrada, realizador del film de Disney Raya and the Last Dragon. En el vídeo Katy y Pikachu disfrutan de la naturaleza y reflexionan acerca de su evolución a lo largo del tiempo. Tras un día de exploración, la pareja se detiene frente a un faro a meditar. Cayendo en una ensoñación, se ven atrás en el tiempo, en los inicios de la carrera de Katy. Gracias a que su amigo Pichu la anima, Katy pasa de cantar en el mercado a tener su primera actuación en un club.

“No hay razón por la que esta vida no pueda ser eléctrica,” canta Katy en este himno que celebra la alegría de perseguir un sueño apoyándose en el amor y la ayuda de los amigos. Colaboran con Katy en la producción The Monsters & Strangerz y Jon Bellion (que se unieron a ella en 'Daisies', una canción de su álbum, 'Smile') y Bruce Weigner.
