El último invento del creador de Facebook para ayudar a su mujer a dormir mejor

Aunque sea un personaje polémico y su creación más grande esté constantemente bajo vigilancia por los problemas de privacidad que suscita en muchas ocasiones, no podemos negar que Mark Zuckerberg es uno de los personajes más importantes del siglo y su creatividad parece no tener límites. Su último invento, además, es toda una prueba de amor. 

El creador y fundador de Facebook ha compartido en otra de las redes sociales que están bajo su control, Instagram, una imagen en la que podemos apreciar su última idea. Se trata de un aparato para facilitar el sueño y el descanso a su mujer y podría ser considerado una "caja de luz", pero tiene mucho más detrás.

Being a mom is hard, and since we've had kids Priscilla has had a hard time sleeping through the night. She'll wake up and check the time on her phone to see if the kids might wake up soon, but then knowing the time stresses her out and she can't fall back asleep. So I worked on building her what I call the "sleep box". It sits on her nightstand, and between the hours of 6-7am it emits a very faint light -- visible enough that if she sees it she'll know it's an okay time for one of us to get the kids, but faint enough that the light won't wake her up if she's still sleeping. And since it doesn't show the time, if she wakes up in the middle of the night, she knows to just go back to sleep without having to worry about what time it is. So far this has worked better than I expected and she can now sleep through the night. As an engineer, building a device to help my partner sleep better is one of the best ways I can think of to express my love and gratitude. A bunch of my friends have told me they'd want something like this, so I'm putting this out there in case another entrepreneur wants to run with this and build sleep boxes for more people!

Según palabras del propio Mark Zuckerberg, a su mujer le cuesta dormir desde que ha sido madre y el hecho de despertarse por la noche y ver la hora que es le genera estrés y esto hace que no vuelva a conciliar el sueño de manera tranquila. Por lo tanto, Zuckerberg ha creado esta caja que emite una luz tenue que no despierta a su mujer pero que, según el grado de intensidad, le indica que se acerca la hora de levantarse.

De esta manera, si ella se despierta a media noche y ve la caja de luz con una intensidad muy tenue, sabe que puede seguir durmiendo con tranquilidad, aunque no sepa qué hora es. Este invento, en palabras del propio Zuckerberg, "ha funcionado mejor de lo que esperaba y ahora ella puede dormir toda la noche". Expresa también lo que ha significado para él crear algo con sus propias manos que pueda ayudar a su mujer y expresarle su amor y gratitud. ¡Nos parece un gran invento!
