Hace tres semanas que Ed Sheeran salió de su silencio para sorprendernos con su nuevo tema ‘Bad habits’. Así, disfrazado de vampiro como pudimos ver en su videoclip, nos dejó a todos atónitos con su nuevo sonido, algo totalmente diferente a lo que nos tenía acostumbrados. Una inmersión al EDM (Electronic Dance Music), fusionando a su ya característico sonido, sonidos electrónicos y del dance, con sintetizadores sorprendiéndote durante toda la canción y un bajo contundente muy predominante marcando el ritmo. En definitiva, un Ed Sheeran que te invita a bailar, a saltar, a volar -como hace en su videoclip vestido de vampiro-.
Una década ha pasado ya desde que Ed empezara a actuar en los mayores escenarios de todo el mundo gracias al lanzamiento de su 'single' ‘The A team’. Su guitarra, un pedal y él mismo eran los únicos elementos que necesitaba para cautivarnos a todos con su música en los conciertos. Pero en esta nueva etapa musical eso ahora va a cambiar, pues ya no es el Ed que cantaba baladas con su guitarra.
Como decía en una entrevista para ‘Planet Radio UK’: “Me gusta la presión porque lo sé, lo he hecho por mucho tiempo y si algo sale mal, sé cómo arreglarlo. He estado tocando con una banda desde hace poco y eso me asusta, porque si algo sale mal hay doce personas a parte de mí.”
Si bien, el joven de Halifax, Inglaterra, no ha perdido sus orígenes y hace dos semanas subió a la red social Tiktok una demostración de cómo interpreta su nuevo 'single' ‘Bad habits’ en directo en un escenario como siempre había hecho: él, sus instrumentos y el pedal de loop. Un vídeo que incendió las redes y que, al ver la repercusión y el cariño de los fans, animó a Ed a subir más demostraciones de cómo monta sus canciones con loops. Hace cinco días subió ‘Shape of you’ y ayer ‘Bloodstream’.
