Este verano, musicalmente, tiene grandes noticias como la llegada del nuevo trabajo de Ellie Goulding. Será con álbum de 'doble cara' de Ellie, titulado "Brightest Blue", que ha confirmado su lanzamiento para el 17 de Julio.
“Brightest Blue", que consta de un número de recientes lanzamientos junto a todas las canciones nuevas, es un álbum dividido como decimos en dos partes, “Brightest Blue” (que tiene a Ellie Goulding y Joe Kearns como productores ejecutivos) y “EG.0”. “Slow Grenade”
Es así la última canción extraída de la mitad “EG.0” de su nuevo álbum. Es la sucesora de sus últimos lanzamientos "Power" y "Worry About Me’" feat. Blackbear.
“Slow Grenade” es una colaboración con Lauv, artista que llamó la atención de Ellie en 2015 con el single “The Other”. Desde entonces ha compuesto para artistas con los que también ha colaborado y supera los 5 billones de streams, tiene discos de Platino y singles de éxito top 10 como “I Like Me Better” y “i’m so tired…” feat. Troye Sivan, este último de su álbum debut de marzo 2020 titulado "how i’m feeling".

Tanto Ellie como Lauv comparten su pasión por la defensa de la salud mental, frecuentemente ponen sus redes sociales al servicio de la concienciación sobre la ansiedad y la depresión. Ellie es conocida por la honestidad con la que aborda estos temas y por formar parte de muchas iniciativas para combatir los problemas de salud mental entre los jóvenes.
En 2019, Lauv fundó Blue Boy, una fundación que apoya iniciativas que ayudan a gente joven a sentirse más cómodos al buscar ayuda en temas de salud mental o sentirse más respaldados al ayudar a sus amigos a conectarse con quien se interesa genuinamente por esta problemática.
Volviendo al próximo álbum, en las dos partes Ellie ha contado con un número de compositores y productores para ayudar a terminar el trabajo, incluyendo a Tobias Jesso Jr., Starsmith, ILYA, serpentwithfeet, Patrick Wimberly (de Chairlift) y Jim Eliot, entre otros.
