'Turn Up The Sunshine' reúne a Diana Ross con Tame Impala para su apuesta rítmica de "película"

Ritmo disco, bailey optimismo para una apuesta conjunta. Así llega Diana Ross uniendo fuerzas con los australianos Tame Impala añadiendo la producción de Jack Antonoff. Esta colaboración sigue a la publicación del nuevo álbum de Ross, 'Thank You'.

Este es el primer single de la recientemente anunciada banda sonora original de la película de 'Illumination Minions: The Rise of Gru' y que recordaremos de inmediato con su listado definitivo de temas.

Así llega la nueva comedia de acción de la autodenominada mayor franquicia de animación de la historia, con una BSO que saldrá a la venta el viernes 1 de julio, coincidiendo con el estreno en cines de la película.

La película

Ambientada en los años 70, 'Minions: The Rise Of Gru' cuenta la historia de cómo Gru (el nominado al Oscar Steve Carell), el mayor supervillano del mundo, conoció a sus icónicos Minions, forjando el equipo más despreciable del cine y enfrentándose a la fuerza criminal más imparable jamás reunida.

La BSO

'Minions: The Rise of Gru (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)' de Illumination saldrá a la venta en formato digital, en CD digipack de 3 paneles, en doble LP negro estándar, en doble LP con salpicaduras amarillas y azules, en casete amarillo y en un picture disc de edición limitada a través de Decca Records el 1 de julio de 2022.

La banda sonora, cargada de funk, cuenta con un elenco de estrellas que celebran una serie de deslumbrantes clásicos del funk, la música disco y el soul con nuevas versiones de algunos de los mayores éxitos de la década de los setenta de la mano de algunos de los mejores talentos.

Desde la nueva versión de St. Vincent del éxito de 1979 de Lipps Inc. Funkytown y la interpretación de H.E.R. del éxito de 1967 de Sly and The Family Stone Dance to the Music, hasta la versión de Bleachers del tema de 1970 de John Lennon Instant Karma! y la interpretación de Phoebe Bridgers del sencillo de 1972 de The Carpenters Goodbye To Love, cada tema ha sido reimaginado por cada artista con resultados ingeniosos.

Y, por supuesto, los propios Minions de Illumination protagonizan el álbum, con su distintiva interpretación del clásico de los 70 de Simon & Garfunkel, Cecilia.

El productor ejecutivo de la banda sonora, Jack Antonoff, es un cantante, compositor y productor discográfico de fama mundial, además de vocalista de la banda de rock Bleachers. Como compositor y productor, Antonoff, que en 2021 fue reconocido por la BBC por haber "redefinido la música pop", ha colaborado con artistas de la talla de Diana Ross, Taylor Swift, Lorde, St. Vincent, Florence + The Machine, Lana Del Rey, Kevin Abstract y muchos más. Este trabajo ha llevado a Antonoff a recoger numerosos reconocimientos, incluidos seis premios Grammy, el último de los cuales fue el premio Grammy 2022 al Productor del Año.
