El nuevo álbum de Justin Timberlake ya está aquí y ha venido con sorpresa sobre los escenarios

Seis años han pasado desde que Justin sacaba disco y ha vuelto por todo lo alto: nuevo proyecto compuesto por 18 canciones.

'Everything I Thought It Was' incluye los sencillos 'Selfish' y 'Drown', temas que Justin utilizó a modo de presentación. 'Selfish' salió en enero de 2024 y nos recuerda al estilo musical de sus inicios, aunque es menos impactante que otros 'singles' anteriores.

'Drown' aterrizaba en plataformas el 23 de febrero, a ritmo muy marcado y fraseos a medio 'tempo', rozando el rap, nos devolvía a ese estilo musical en el que destaca el artista. Este sonido es el que asociamos con Timberlake, por lo que con esta canción vuelve a reivindicarse como el rey del género. El estribillo te cautivará y querrás poner la canción en bucle.

Empezando con la nueva música, el disco abre con 'Memphis'. Este tema narra la historia personal del cantante y el peso encima de los hombros que pusieron en Justin Timberlake en los inicios de su carrera. Además, tiene una llamada desde su tierra, Memphis -Tennessee, recordando al artista que lo importante es que "haga sentirse orgullosos a su pueblo", a la ciudad de Memphis. Es la primera vez que Justin utiliza el tema de apertura de un disco para narrar una historia, más que mostrar su cambio de estilo o el patrón del disco. Acompañando al artista, escuchamos unos coros con eco al ritmo durante los últimos segundos del tema, dando profundidad a 'Memphis'.

El potencial exitazo del disco es 'Infinity Sex', la canción más bailable del disco hace que Justin luzca sus cualidades tan características que, mezcladas con ritmos pegadizos y chasquidos transmiten una vibra triunfal. Con un 'drop' de la base y solamente acompañado de la percusión, Justin termina la canción entre frases en francés de una voz femenina.

'Alone' es la balada por excelencia de este proyecto, contrastando con el resto de ritmos bailables y marcados. En la letra el artista abre su corazón: "Los recuerdos son lo peor ahora mismo. En mi mente seguimos bailando al son de la canción que no podemos entender".

Su canción 'No Angels' tendrá videoclip hoy mismo. Al puro estilo 'disco-funk', Justin invita a sus seguidoras a vivir el momento y a olvidarse del mañana.

'Everything I Thought It Was' incluye tres colaboraciones, aunque la más importante para los fieles seguidores es la última. 'Paradise' no podía contar con mejores acompañantes: los miembros de *NSYNC. Esta vuelta de la 'boyband' ha dejado a sus 'fans' enloquecidos, pero esto no es todo. Justin dio una gran sorpresa en su concierto de Los Ángeles: reunió a la banda de nuevo sobre un escenario.

"Os quiero muchísimo", así agradecía Timberlake a sus compañeros haber podido colaborar y actuar con él en directo. ¿Podría ser este el evento clave para la vuelta definitiva de *NSYNC?
