'Wannabe' de Spice Girls cumple 25 años y, para conmemorarlo, lanzan un disco especial con un tema inédito

Fue exactamente hoy hace 25 años, cuando Spice Girls estrenaban 'Wannabe', una de aquellas canciones icónicas para muchos y que, año tras año, por algún motivo se rememora mientras se descubre de generación en generación.
De este tema se dice que se compuso en 20 minutos y que se grabó el mismo día. Melanie, Geri, Emma, Mel B y Victoria enseñaban con esta canción su grito de guerra que, además, era su debut musical.
'Wannabe', la primera canción
De sus inicios recordemos que acudieron a una prueba que buscaba a chicas de entre 18 y 23 años para formar una banda. Más de 400 candidatas se presentaron a las audiciones en Londres y tras varias pruebas y cambios de integrantes, formaron el grupo Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm, Victoria Adams-Wood (ahora, Beckham), Michelle Stephenson y Geri Halliwell.
El nuevo 'disco', el 27 de agosto, con un tema inédito
Para conmemorar el 25 aniversario del sencillo debut de las Spice Girls, 'Wannabe', se lanzan cuatro canciones 'E.P' en Picture Disc de 12 pulgadas y en Cassette. Junto al single original y un remix en demanda de Junior Vasquez (originalmente una pista extra del CD Single '2 Become 1' de 1996) está la grabación original y 'Feed Your Love', una balada escrita por Spice Girls y ' Los aspirantes a co-escritores Richard 'Biff' Stannard y Matt Rowe, grabaron para el álbum 'Spice' pero inédito.
