The Weeknd se une a FKA Twings para crear su colaboración 'Tears in the Club'

The Weeknd no para de sorprendernos con música diferente en esta nueva era en la que se enuentra el artista. Ahora le ha tocado el turno de colaborar con la artista británica FKA Twings , para lanzar "Tears in the Club" y soltar todas las emociones que llevan dentro.
Una que precede al single 'Measure of a Man' de FKA Twigs con Central Cee, que aparece en la banda sonora de la película 'The King's Man', cuyo estreno tendrá lugar el próximo miércoles 22 de diciembre. Así es como la artista calentaba motores en sus redes sociales:
"¿Estás listo para la adquisición de Capri Sun? Nosotros, los bebés capri, seamos tan lindos y prolíficos, pero no nos enfades porque nunca lo olvidamos ??. Este jueves a la medianoche gmt / 7pm et / 4pm pt voy a soltar lágrimas en el club ft @theweeknd" escribía la artista junto al vídeo del rostro de Twigs, que se fragmenta en trozos y descubre en su interior la portada del tema.
Lo cierto es que "Tears in the Club" hace honor a la promesa de su nombre, mezclando un ritmo discotequero y sintetizadores atmosféricos con letras de Twigs y The Weeknd que están llenas de dolor y angustia.
El tema viene acompañado de un extraño pero impactante videoclip, con toques de ciencia ficción y lleno de números de baile para arrancar, dirigido por Amber Grace Johnson. Se puede ver a Twigs bailando en un club nocturno bajo luces estroboscópicas intermitentes, antes de actuar para The Weeknd en un gran tanque de muestras mientras observa llorando.
Una artista que, el pasado año, desvelo en a los programas en casa del Museo Grammy que completó un álbum mientras estaba en cuarentena durante la pandemia. Su álbum más reciente es Magdalene de 2019 .
Acerca de The Weeknd...
El pasado mes de noviembre, la cantante española Rosalía estrenó “La fama”, también junto a The Weeknd. El primer sencillo de su próximo disco Motomami, anunciado para el 2022. En el video de esta canción, construida sobre base de bachata, se puede ver a The Weeknd entre el público, observando con la mitada atenta la actuación de la catalana, tras lo cual le da la réplica vocal cantando en español: "Es mala amante la fama, no va a quererte de verdad".
Lo cierto es que esta no es la primera ocasión en que los artistas colaboran, pues ya lo hicieron con la mezcla 'Blinding Lights' del artista estadounidense que incluía la aparición de la española. De hecho, desde Billboard se confirma que el tema 'Blinding Lights' del músico canadiensese ha coronado como #1 histórico de la lista de las 100 mejores canciones de todos los tiempos.
