Ed Sheeran lanza "2steps" junto a Lil Baby con la vista puesta en el pueblo ucraniano

"Grabé el video de "2step" en la ciudad de Kiev, Ucrania, antes de que comenzaran los devastadores actos de violencia", relata Ed Sheeran en un mensaje que precede a las imágenes del videoclip de la nueva versión de la canción, "Era la primera vez que visitaba el país y me sentí muy bien recibido durante mi estancia allí, desde el equipo de producción hasta las muchas personas que conocí en mis días libres".

Esta es la manera que ha escogido el británico para enviar su mensaje de solidaridad a los millones de víctimas que están sufriendo la guerra de Rusia contra al pueblo ucraniano. Pero el cantante no solo se ha limitado a las palabras, ya que el lanzamiento de este vídeo es la manera que tiene para ayudar económicamente a los desplazados: "Ucrania es un país orgulloso y resistente y estoy agradecido por haber tenido la oportunidad de grabar allí mi video", remarca, "Apoyo a Ucrania y donaré los beneficios obtenidos por las reproducciones del video en YouTube a la campaña humanitaria a favor de Ucrania del DEC", asegura.

El DEC es el Disasters Emergency Committee, un comité creado para coordinar y canalizar las ayudas que llegan por parte múltiples organismos públicos y privados, así como las donaciones personales que se están efectuando en el Reino Unido. Por lo tanto, Ed Sheeran se suma a título personal y a través de su música a colaborar con Ucrania.

El artista ya había anunciado la medida esta misma semana a través de sus redes sociales y ha cumplido su promesa el día del lanzamiento del vídeo de la nueva versión de "2step", en la que ha querido contar con el rapero Lil Baby: "Soy un gran admirador de Lil Baby desde hace un tiempo", explica Ed, "Estoy muy emocionado de contar con él para la canción y el vídeo de este remix", apunta orgulloso.

"2step" es una de las canciones del nuevo disco del artista, -"=" (2021)-, que está presentando en directo para su público durante las próximas semanas. El cantante sigue a tope con su "+-=÷x tour", visitando los más grandes recintos del Reino Unido para presentar sus canciones en directo durante los próximos meses.
