Ed Sheeran y la banda ucraniana Antytila estrenan versión de '2step' con imágenes de la guerra en el videoclip

Ed Sheeran vuelve a apoyar toda iniciativa capaz de promover la ayuda ante la devastación. Así, la banda ucraniana Antytila, cuyos integrantes están actualmente en el frente de guerra, se une para una nueva versión del tema '2step' del músico británico. De este modo, los beneficios se destinarán a ayudar al pueblo de Ucrania.

A este lanzamiento se añade el vídeo oficial rodado, en parte, durante la guerra y que protagoniza la armonía del baile de dos niños.

'2step' apareció por primera vez en el álbum '=' (2021) de Sheeran y el pasado 22 de abril llegaba una revisión junto al rapero estadounidense Lil Baby, con un vídeo filmado en Kiev antes de la guerra, cuyos ingresos se destinan también a la ayuda para Ucrania. Diversas fuentes aseguran que Ed Sheeran tiene previsto hacer nuevas versiones de '2step' con artistas de Finlandia, Italia, Suecia, Australia, Francia, Irlanda y Brasil.

'2step' ante una guerra cruel

Mientras Ed Sheeran canta en inglés,Taras Topolya, del grupo Antytila, introduce el idioma ucraniano. Según sus creadores, la idea de la colaboración surgió tras el 'Concierto por Ucrania' que, como contábamos en CADENA 100, tuvo lugar en el Resorts World Arena en Birmingham (Reino Unido) y contó con una alineación repleta de estrellas que incluía actuaciones de Ed Sheeran, Camila Cabello, Emeli Sande, Gregory Porter, Snow Patrol, Nile Rodgers and Chic, Becky Hill, The Kingdom Choir, Manic Street Preachers, Anne-Marie, Paloma Faith y Tom Odell.

Por cierto, la recaudación de aquel concierto realizado el martes 29 de marzo supuso una ayuda económica para la organización Disasters Emergency Committee's (DEC) que está ayudando a millones de personas que se ven obligadas a dejar sus vidas en Ucrania y huir a otros países alejándose de su tierra.

En aquella ocasión no se quiso que Antylila participara por videoconferencia al estar sus miembros en las filas del ejército y tratarse de un evento de carácter humanitario. Por ello, el equipo de Sheeran contactó con el grupo ucraniano para llevar a cabo esta nueva versión.

Ahora, Taras Topolya nos ha querido detallar más de esta nueva iniciativa del británico y nos cuenta que "La oferta del equipo de Ed de grabar una canción conjunta es otra expresión de apoyo del pueblo de Gran Bretaña y un acto sin precedentes que garantiza crear un poderoso impulso. Los miembros del grupo hicieron su trabajo como militares, no fue fácil para nosotros crear y grabar letras y voces ucranianas en el estudio. Además, el estudio de Bobina Records, donde solíamos grabar nuestras propias canciones, estaba ocupado. Pero gracias a Maxim Sivolap, nuestro amigo y constante coautor y arreglista de muchas canciones, hicimos nuestra parte. En el texto en ucraniano de la canción 2Step de Ed Sheeran, decidí contar mi propia historia de cómo comenzó la guerra para mi familia. Y esta no es solo mi historia, esta es la historia de millones de ucranianos cuyas familias han sido separadas, y a veces para siempre, por los horribles bombardeos y la guerra".

Como decimos, el carácter solidario, según fuentes de este proyecto, es determinante: "Todas las ganancias de la monetización del vídeo en Youtube y de las regalías se destinarán a la caridad de Music Saves UA, un proyecto de la Asociación de Eventos Musicales de Ucrania".

Dmytro Shmurak, dirigió y produjo el vídeo en un tiempo increíblemente corto teniendo muy en cuenta que la banda Antytila no podría participar plenamente. Este director sí quiso dar un mensaje a los miembros de la banda: "Solo quiero decirles a los muchachos una cosa: ¡regresen con vida!".
