Los nominados para la 52 edición de los Premios JUNO: The Weeknd lidera con 6 y así fue la presentación

Profeta en su tierra, The Weeknd ha cosechado seis nominaciones destacando las de artista, single ('Sacrifice'), álbum ('Dawn FM') y compositor. La Academia Canadiense de Artes y Ciencias de la Grabación (CARAS, por sus siglas en inglés) ha dado a conocer a los nominados para la 52 edición de los Premios JUNO desde el Centro de Radiodifusión Canadiense de CBC, Toronto (Canadá).

Los ganadores de este año se darán a conocer en Edmonton, Alberta, en The JUNO Opening Night Awards presentados por Music Canada el sábado 11 de marzo y The JUNO Awards Broadcast el lunes 13 de marzo , en directo por CBC.

Es decir, la 52.ª edición de los Premios JUNO y la Semana JUNOS 2023 se llevarán a cabo en Edmonton del jueves 9 al lunes 13 de marzo de 2023, y culminarán con la transmisión de la Noche de Premios JUNO. La gala será presentada nuevamente por el actor canadiense Simu Liu mientras que las actuaciones confirmadas son Jessie Reyez, Aysanabee, P Dhillon, Banx & Ranx, Preston Pablo y Rêve, Nickelback, Tate McRae yTenille Townes.

The Weeknd arrasa en las nominaciones de este año con un total de seis, que incluyen: TikTok JUNO Fan Choice, Single of the Year, Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year y Pop Album of The Year. La leyenda del pop punk Avril Lavigne y Tate McRae obtenían cinco nominaciones cada uno. Avril está nominada a TikTok JUNO Fan Choice, Sencillo del año, Álbum del año, Artista del año y Álbum pop del año mientras que Tate está nominada para TikTok JUNO Fan Choice, Single of the Year, Album of the Year, Songwriter of the Year y Pop Album of The Year.
