Cher cantará "Chiquitita" en español y lanzará su videoclip en un acto de UNICEF

La relación de Cher con la música de ABBA es muy frecuente. Tan esa así que en verano de 2018 lanzaba el álbum "Dancing Queen" que recoge los éxitos destacados de ABBA. Además, hay que subrayar que Cher se había inspirado en el grupo sueco para grabar ese disco después de su actuación en la película Mamma Mia! con Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Amanda Seyfried, Stellan Skarsgard, Colin Firth, Andy García o Julie Walters entre otros.
Por tanto, Cher abunda, ahora con fines solidarios, en una de sus pasiones musicales reconocidas y reconocibles. A finales de semana lanzará, en nuesto idioma "Chiquitita" y el próximo sábado 9 de mayo, durante una gala benéfica online organizada por UNICEF, el vídeo oficial. Recordemos que esta canción, "Chiquitita", fue objetivo solidario desde su nacimiento. Sus creadores, ABBA, donaran todos sus beneficios desde que se publicara en 1979 a esta organización internacional.
También hay que destacar que Cher donará 1 millón de dólares a organizaciones benéficas que trabajan frente al COVID-19.
Una gala de UNICEF
UNICEF Won’t Stop es el nombre del evento benéfico que verá el estreno de "Chiquitita". En la gala, encabezada por Cher habrá presencia de artistas como Pink, que es embajadora de UNICEF, y famosos deportistas como Pau Gasol. Será, según los organizadores, un acto dedicado al "Personal de UNICEF en todo el mundo y héroes de primera línea en todas partes".

Volviendo a la canción, Cher siempre ha reconocido que "me ha gustado ABBAy vi el musical original de Mamma Mia en Broadway tres veces". Luego vino la película y, posteriormente, el álbum "Dancing Queen" grabado y producido en Londres y Los Ángeles con el colaborador de Cher, Mark Taylor, quien previamente produjo "Believe", que fue número uno en más de 50 países.
