Beyoncé vuelve a poner su ‘Cowboy Carter’ en la cima gracias a los premios NAACP

Continúa la temporada de premios para honrar lo mejor que nos ha ido dejando el 2024, este fin de semana se celebraban los premio NAACP Image Awards, unos galardones que organiza la Asociación Nacional Americana para honrar a los artistas afroamericanos que han destacado en los ámbitos del cine, la música, la televisión y la literatura. El evento tuvo lugar en el Pasadena Civic Auditorium de California y Beyoncé volvió a brillar una vez más gracias a su último trabajo, ‘Cowboy Carter’.

La diva del pop, se llevó a casa varios premios, incluyendo el de ‘Álbum Destacado’ por su innovador último disco, que fusiona elementos de country y R&B; un álbum ampliamente aclamado por su originalidad, que ha consolidado a Beyoncé como una artista versátil que trasciende géneros musicales. Este galardón hace que Queen Bey empate con Whitney Houston en en cuanto a premios conseguidos en esta categoría.

Además de Beyoncé, también brilló con luz propia Keke Palmer, que fue nombrada ‘Artista del Año’, sorprendiendo a muchos al superar a otros nominados como Cynthia Erivo o Kendrick Lamar. Chris Brown ganó el premio al ‘Artista Masculino Destacado’ y también se llevó premios por sus canciones ‘Residuals’ y ‘Hmmm’.

La película ‘The Six Triple Eight’, dirigida por Tyler Perry, se alzó con el premio a la ‘Mejor Película’, destacando la importancia de la narrativa afroamericana en el cine. Doechii, una de las artistas emergentes más prometedoras, ganó el premio a la ‘Mejor Artista Revelación’.
