Así fueron los MTV Video Music Awards 2022: desde Taylor Swift a Bad Bunny, Styles, Eilish, Rosalía o Anitta

Anoche domingo 28 de agosto llegaba la entrega de los premios MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) desde el Prudential Center en Newark (Nueva Jersey, EEUU).
Taylor destaca y anuncia disco
La estadounidense Taylor Swift conseguía que su canción 'All Too Well' obtuviera el codiciado premio a mejor vídeoclip del año así como las distinciones a mejor vídeo en formato largo y mejor dirección. Swift, que aparecía con un vestido de pedrería del diseñador Oscar de la Renta, anunciaba durante la recogida del premio que lanzará un nuevo disco el próximo 21 de octubre que se titulará 'Midnights' que contará "trece historias de noches sin dormir a lo largo de su vida". En su discurso subrayó el trabajo de las mujeres detrás de las cámaras y destacaba que este año, por primera vez habían, sido nominadas cuatro directoras de videoclips.
Grandes destacados, récords y... también Rosalía
De igual modo destacaron anoche las tres estatuillas conjuntas para Lil Nas X y Jack Harlow por su versión de la canción 'Industry Baby' y otras tres para Harry Styles que por cierto no acudió a la cita y destacaba con la obtección al mejor álbum del año por 'Harry's House', mientras que su canción 'As It Was', fue elegida como el mejor videoclip pop y mejor cinematrografía. Harlow se llevó, además, una estatuilla en solitario por 'First Class', elegida como la mejor canción del verano.
Tampoco acudió Billi Elish, que tenía 6 nominaciones y su trabajo 'Happier than Ever' ganaba el premio a mejor canción del año.
En lo latino, mejor vídeo musical latino, para 'Envolver' de Anitta siendo la primera vez para un artista brasileño en los VMA. Y, sobre todo, destacaba que Bad Bunny se alzaba con el premio a mejor artista del año siendo el primero en hacerlo en la historia de los premios para un artista en español. En un breve discurso hizo un alegato a Puerto Rico, su cultura y su lengua: "Yo siempre creí, desde el principio, que yo podía llegar a ser grande, que yo podía llegar a ser uno de los mejores cantantes del mundo sin tener que cambiar mi cultura, mi lengua, mi idioma, mi jerga; yo soy Benito Antonio Martínez de Puerto Rico para el mundo entero".
Destacamos que 'Saoko' de Rosalía fue distinguido con el premio a mejor edición. El K-Pop se llevó tres estatuillas de astronautas, más allá del reservado a esta categoría: el de "Push Performance", que recayó en SEVENTEEN, mejor vídeo de metaverso, que fue para Blackpink y mejor grupo del año, que se llevó BTS.
La rapera Nicki Minaj se convirtió en otra gran protagonista de la velada en la que recibió el premio honorífico Michael Jackson Video Vanguard además de la estatuilla por el mejor vídeo de hiphop por su canción 'Do We Have a Problem?'. Otros ganadores de anteriores ediciones del galardon Michael Jackson han sido Justin Timberlake, Beyoncé, Kanye West, Rihanna, P!nk y Jennifer Lopez. Minaj protagonizó una actuación memorable siendo además las veces de maestra de ceremonias junto a los raperos LL COOL J y Jack Harlow.
