El Salón de la Fama de los Compositores ha anunciado su lista de nominados que se votarán para su incorporación en su Gala de Inducción y Premios 2024 en la ciudad de Nueva York.
Antes de enumerar a los artistas recordemos que establecido en 1969, el Salón de la Fama de los Compositores honra a aquellos "cuyo trabajo representa un espectro de las canciones más queridas del cancionero de música popular del mundo". El compositor Johnny Mercer y los editores Abe Olman y Howie Richmond, quienes fundaron la organización, querían destacar los logros de los compositores que nos han brindado las palabras y la música que forman la banda sonora de nuestras vidas. Cada año, el Salón de la Fama presenta una lista de compositores votados por los miembros en una Gala de Premios que ha sido reconocida por la industria de la música y los medios como la más importante del año.

Por tanto, el Salón de la Fama de los Compositores está dedicado a reconocer el trabajo y la vida de aquellos compositores y letristas que crean música en todo el mundo. Un compositor con un catálogo notable de canciones califica para la incorporación 20 años después del primer lanzamiento comercial significativo de una canción.
Los miembros votantes elegibles tendrán hasta el 27 de diciembre de 2023 para entregar su voto, con sus opciones de tres nominados de las categorías de compositor y tres de compositor intérprete.
