Por sus canciones los conocemos: Céline Dion, gran diva del pop

Llegamos a la séptima entrega de nuestra colección que recuerda canciones y artistas unidos a nosotros y entre sí para siempre.

Cada uno de nosotros marca su imaginario musical a través de canciones por su significado, por su ritmo, por el momento en que las escuchó por primera vez, por una situación sentimental o por cualquier motivo; puede incluso que inconfesable.

Para nuestro paseo semanal miramos y escuchamos hoy canciones de Céline Dion que, posiblemente, se han quedado en nuestro recuerdo y lo hagan para siempre. Pero como es muy difícil completar en un sólo lugar todas sus canciones, elegimos TRES. Sólo.

Primero, y por aclamación popular no debemos dejar de recordar "My Heart Will Go On" porque siempre la película Titanic deberá ser tan entendida por esta canción como por la actuación de Kate Winslet y Leonardo DiCaprio; pero el recuerdo nos lleva a una sublime actuación en directo. La segunda es la canción titulada "If You Asked Me To" con una radiente e híper romántica Céline que decía "si me lo pidieras, podría cambiar de opinión" en 1992 haciendo versión de la que lanzó tres años antes la cantante estadounidense Patti LaBelle. Y la tercera, aquella que dice "The whispers in the morning" o, para nosotros, traducido "los susurros de la mañana" pero que para todos es "The Power Of Love" con la más sexy, insinuante y romántica Céline que se pueda imaginar; muchos quizá recuerden esa misma canción en voz de Jennifer Rush (que la lanzó en 1984), Laura Branigan o la mismísima Ángela Carrasco.

Puede que alguna de estas canciones no sea la preferida, la deseada o quizá querríamos que estuviera aquí, también, OTRA; aquella indispensable. Seguro que asiste la razón o el conocimiento pero esta selección que traemos estará, posiblemente, en el recuerdo imborrable de muchos. Ojalá.
